Mr. Tanaka

Sorry folks. Been really busy lately. Although, if you've kept up with my on Twitter, you'd see there is a lot happening.

The trades and signings have slowed a bit but now with Tanaka being posted, we are waiting to see who wants him bad enough. Just about everybody wants that guy, whether they need him or not. The Dodgers could use him, however, I'm not sure that they really need him. The A's could definitely use him and probably need him.

I decided to look up some information on Mr. Masahiro Tanaka, just to see if the legends are true about this demigod from the East. Turns out he seems to be completely legit. Here are his critical stats:

Name: Masahiro Tanaka
Born: November 1, 1988
Birthplace: Itami, Hyogo, Japan
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 205 lbs.
Bats: Right
Throws: Right
Spouse: Mai Satoda, (singer, Japanese Pop Idol)

Tanaka led his team to a championship in the National High School Baseball tournament as a junior for Komazawa University Tomakomai High School in 2005 and a runner-up berth in the same tournament as a senior in 2006. Tanaka struck out 458 batters over the course of his high school career (2004-2006), surpassing current New York Mets pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka's previous national high school record of 423 with Yokohama Senior High School. He also hit 13 home runs during those three years. Tanaka was the Eagles' first-round pick in the 2006 NPB high school draft and is currently the team's ace. From 2012 to 2013, he won 26 consecutive decisions, which broke an Nippon Professional Baseball record.

Masahiro Tanaka has progressively gotten better since 2006 and especially this year, which garnered him international attention with a 1.000 win percentage. Yes, that means, 100% of the time he played, they WIN. He went 24-0 this year with a 1.27ERA.
