The magic number is still at 4. However, the Dodgers start their final regular season road trip today, starting in Arizona.
Forget the Giants. Forget the last few games. We didn't really need them anyway. It would have been nice to beat them at home but we can still beat them on their own ground when we meet them in San Francisco next week.
The Dodgers seemed to be limping along and that's not something we need going into the last couple of weeks of the regular season. Rumor is, Matt Kemp will be in the lineup in Arizona. Hopefully, with a morale boost to the team, like he is, we can win some games and keep pushing forward.
Although we took some tough losses over the weekend, the fire of this team is still alive. Edinson Volquez seemed to be adjusting well on the Dodgers mound and our bench seemed to be taking charge and motivating the team well. If we can keep Hanley, Puig and Kemp healthy, we can cruise into the post-season without a hitch.
