Dodgers Drop Series Beginner in Arizona

Reminders of a dismal May 2013 seem to play through my mind when watching replays of last nights game in Arizona.

Hyun-Jin Ryu had a stellar start, only allowing 2 hits and retiring 19. The lack of run support though led to the Dodgers dropping this one, 2-1. This seems to be a classic case of them not getting beat as they let this one go.

Yasiel Puig, as everyone knows, needs to control himself. Matt Kemp needs to come back and stay back. Hanley Ramirez and Carl Crawford needs to get back and stay healthy. There's too many factors leading to losses with this team. Adrian Gonzalez said they "need to be patient" and that the wins will come. While I believe this to be true, and I'll use a term i hate, our 'B team' needs to step up like they have been in the last few months. Hustlers like Nick Punto, Skip Schumacher and Scott Van Slyke can motivate this team to perform. Our pitching is as strong as it has ever been. It's our bats that need to come back and stay strong.
