This will be Boston's 3rd title in 10 years. David Ortiz, of course, was named World Series MVP after his performance during the series, batting .688 with 2 HR's and 6 RBI's. And with that, Ortiz may have clinched a spot in Cooperstown.
I have to admit, even as neutral as I tried to be in this Series, that I wanted to see Boston take it. After the Boston Marathon bombings, it was hard not to think about them needing something like this. It seemed as if that tragedy just pushed the team harder and harder to give Boston the win they needed. Last night should have made believers out of everyone.
