The Cards Rout The Pirates In Game 5

Our Boys in Blue are headed to St. Louis for Game 1 of the NLCS. Last night the Cardinals defeated the Pirates 6-1 in their Game 5 series ender in St. Louis. This makes 3 consecutive trips for the Cards to the NLCS. Adam Wainwright(19-9, 2.94 ERA) threw a complete game to end the Pirates season.

The Cardinals host the Dodgers in Game 1 of the NLCS on Friday, Oct. 11. Joe Kelly(10-5, 2.69 ERA) will make the start for the RedBirds. Zack Greinke(15-4, 2.63 ERA) will be the Dodgers starter for Friday.

The Dodgers should try and make this short and sweet. The pitching battle will be on so our focus needs to be on the hitting. Puig was calm and collected but a little fire can do much in a game like this. Uribe showed he can be a clutch man. Hanley and A-Gone are going to do their thing and will be a threat and an intimidation at the plate. Crawford has been golden in the last series so hopefully that continues to be a factor. They cannot afford to get away from the focus. They have Ethier on the DL but potentially could make an appearance. They shouldnt depend on him too much. Focus on who they have and who has been hot but don't shorthand our mid and bottom lineup.
