Dodgers Fall To Cardinals, 4-2 In Game 4 Of NLCS

Pitching has been a strong point of this team since the middle of the regular season. With the acquisitions of Zack Greinke in the beginning of the season, Ricky Nolasco, Edinson Volquez and Carlos Marmol in the later months, this team's sole focus seemed to be the strength of their pitching staff. It didn't show last night.

Nolasco has been very clean and solid for the Dodgers in previous starts and I'm sure that was what the Dodgers were hoping for this time. Unfortunately, Ricky Nolasco allowed 3 runs in the third inning, two of them on a huge Matt Holliday home run. Nolasco was lifted in the fourth for J.P. Howell who also let a home run from Shane Robinson go in the seventh inning.

Hanley Ramirez was lifted in the 7th inning due to the pain of his rib fracture. He will be in the lineup today but based on his performance from yesterday and injury, the Dodgers need to again focus on pitching and choosing the right pitches at the plate.

Zack Greinke will make the start tonight in Dodger Stadium against the Cards' Joe Kelly tonight. Greinke is always tough to beat at Chavez Ravine and Joe Kelly has something to prove that his last performance just wasn't rookie good fortune. It's win or stay home tonight. #GoBlue
