Game 6 In St. Louis Today, Win Or Go Home For The Boys In Blue

Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers will face Michael Wacha and the Cardinals today at 5:30PT. I must say, I'm a little nervous today. It's Friday, which is a 'dress-down' day at work, however, no logos are allowed. So, unfortunately, I have been relegated to my Dodger Blue low-top Chucks and Dodger Blue shirt. These old people here probably think I'm a gangbanger. Oh well.

The Dodgers have a chance to make history today. Hanley and Andre will be in the lineup. Although some would say this isn't a smart move, seeing as they are both battling injuries. However, both have been pivotal in getting us this far. It seems only fair and right that they are playing. It goes back to the origins of this game and this team. Had the Dodgers not pinch hit Kirk Gibson in the 1988 World Series, would they have had the fire to finish off the A's and take the championship? Maybe. But possibly not. That image of Gibson swatting at Eckersley's inside slider and listening to Vin Scully call it "Gone!" will forever be a part of Dodger lore. Bottom line is, they may or may not be able to make a historic event happen but as True as Dodger Blue is, just let em play.
