The Oakland A's Triple-A prospect, Sonny Gray was called up recently and started in yesterday's game at Toronto. Obviously, a first Major League start may be a big nerve racking which would explain Gray giving up a 2 run homer to Jose Bautista in the 1st inning. However, from that point on, Sonny Gray did his part. The defense caused 2 errors and and a passed ball which charged Gray with 2 unearned runs. The bats seemed to be lively but couldn't seem to convert men on base into RBI's.
Fortunately, Josh Reddick, coming off a hitting display the day before, added 2 more home runs to his tally but, the Oakland A's fell to the Blue Jays 5-4.
