Addison Russell Called to Triple-A Sacramento River Cats

We all knew this day would come, Ports fans. We are sad but extremely happy to see how quickly young star, Addison Russell, has moved through the Oakland A's organization. Even though, we will likely see him move to Double-A in the 2014 season, it will be a foreshadowing of things to come to see him in Sacramento red and gold.

Addison's move up definitely brings up a few questions, which I am sure will get answered in the upcoming hours, days and weeks ahead. One is, who will get the call up to Oakland from Sacramento to relieve an infield spot for Russell? Also, who will the Stockton boys get to replace in, in my opinion, the tough position and almost irreplaceable shortstop position?

Addison Russell has put up some spectacular numbers over this season with Stockton which definitely is the reason for the call for help from the River Cats. For the year, he's batting .275 with 17 HR's and 60 RBI's. He also has 21 SB's for the 2013 season.
