Josh Bowman(6-6, 5.69 ERA) became the 3rd Ports player since 2005 to pitch a complete game as Stockton beat the Bakersfield Blaze, 3-1. Bowman allowed only 1 run(solo HR) on 5 hits.
Antonio Lamas singled in the 3rd to bring in Myrio Richard and Bobby Crocker for the first 2 runs of the game. A solo home run to right-center at Sam Lynn Ballpark by Bruce Maxwell in the 6th gave them their third and final run of the evening.
Tanner Peters(11-7, 4.08 ERA) steps to the rubber tonight as the Ports take the Blaze on again for the second game of their 3-game series. Peters leads the Ports pitching staff in wins, strikeouts, ERA and WHIP.
