Stockton Ports edge out the Modesto Nuts in an exciting exchange

In a battle between the two rivals, the Stockton Ports came out on top against the Modesto Nuts, 6-5. The Ports struck first with Bobby Crocker driving home Addison Russell with an RBI double. Then, Crocker scored after the attempt to catch him stealing 3rd went wide.  

Raul Alcantara was the starting pitcher last night for the Ports. Raul sat down the first 10 batters he faced up until the 4th, when the Nuts took one deep. This led to them putting together

The two teams went back and forth with each side struggling versus the other to keep the lead. It wasn't until the 8th inning when Addison Russell blooped a single in to score Rashun Dixon, giving the Ports a 6-5 lead.

The 9th was dominated by pitching with Ports newcomer closer, Pedro Viola completing the game with the save.

Josh Bowman starts tonight in an effort to take a 3-game sweep of the Modesto Nuts in this series.
