Last night was a rough one for baseball..

The Dodgers road winning streak was put to a halt last night by the Red Birds. Even though Kershaw went 6 innings with only 2 runs allowed, the bats could not be found. The streak tied for the fourth-longest in Major League history, falling two games short of the record 17-game streak shared by the 1984 Detroit Tigers and '16 New York Giants. The Dodgers have an opportunity here. They are having fun, which is awesome. They also need to focus that and keep the momentum going.
Here's a nice play by Clayton Kershaw from last night though. #GoDodgers

The A's also had similar issues with former Port, pitcher Dan Straily struggling through 5 innings. The bats in Oakland were weak at best with the only run scored by Derek Norris with a solo shot in the top of the 9th. They are slowly losing their fire from midseason. They need to pick up the pace and focus. #GoOakland

And now...the Stockton Ports. They weren't beaten yesterday. They lost the game, yes. The reason I say that is because the Bakersfield Blaze are not the better team. Simple but foolish mistakes by the Ports led to unearned runs by the Blaze. There were a few bad calls on strikes and balls but I think the Ports just handed this W to the Blaze. The Ports have much better talent but I think they get into a funk. They didn't look like they were having fun at all last night. I didn't see the hustle that I usually do out of them last night. I hope they realize this through this weekend and put the Blaze back in their place with the Modesto Nuts afterward. #GoPorts

EVERYONE! Please focus and get the job done that you know you are there to do!
