Stockton Takes a Loss on a Special Night

It was a special night designated for Breast Cancer Awareness, sponsored by St. Joseph's Medical Center, Breast Health Services, which included a raffle of player-donated memorabilia, special drawings and a silent auction for game-used player jerseys(which there was nothing silent about it, more on this later).

Tanner Peters, I'm sure, would like to have that 2nd inning to do over. Along with a run in the 1st, a 3-run shot in the 2nd from Visalia, was all they needed to defeat the Boys of Banner Island.

Antonio Lamas hit an RBI single in the 3rd to put the Ports on the board and then in the 5th, Addison Russell hit a solo homer to add one more and make the final score, 4-2 Visalia.

I hope this was a successful night for Breast Cancer Awareness and St. Joe's. My mother is a survivor of 30 years and I hope that last night highlighted the benefits of getting checked and enlightened families about the disease and prevention of it.
