Big Hits in Lake Elsinore Last Night

Last night at The Diamond in Lake Elsinore, the Stockton Ports showed the Storm how things are done in Northern California. The Boys of Banner Island racked up 10 runs on 18 hits, tying their road hit record for the season.

The Ports took an early lead in the 1st with a sacrifice fly by Tony Thompson to score Myrio Richard. In the 2nd inning, with the bases loaded, Addison Russell stepped to the plate and hit a grand slam to extend the lead to 5-0.

Stockton never lost the lead though giving up 6 runs to the Storm. The Ports bats were lively last night with another highlight from Phil Pohl, a solo home run in the 9th, giving them their final run of the evening at 10.

The Ports play the second game of their three-game series tonight with James Simmons pitching for the Stockton boys.
